Filip Rađenović is a visual artist working in the fields of photography, illustration, video, and drag. The central theme of his work is the human being and the human-like entity, whether it is photography, drawing, or illustration. By exploring the world of drag expression and the power of transformation, he found a connection between photographic portraits and illustration, putting himself in the roles of various characters he would illustrate. Changing visual identity through makeup and costumes and stepping out of the everyday and the familiar provided him with the freedom to showcase his visions by combining costume, illustration, photography, and performance. Through this creative work, the being he transforms into became a clear channel for queer expression and was named Uma Killix.

The exhibition “USUD” presents Slavic stories about beings with whom the artist identifies through his queer expression. Selected segments of myths are compared to his experience and perception of himself in relation to his surroundings. Like these mythological beings, members of the queer society and culture are often seen as something perverse, exotic, and something to be avoided and feared, even as something that must be controlled or expelled.
