Marko Stević is a social and urban photographer whose favorite areas are documentary photography, portraiture, and architecture. He was born in 1986 in Lausanne, Switzerland, where he currently resides. He has been professionally active for over 10 years, during which he has observed the world and our society through a sharp lens.

His works have been exhibited multiple times in Lausanne, in galleries, public spaces, and during Museum Night. Some of his photographs are part of the collections of the Historical Museum in Lausanne, as well as the Swiss National Museum in Zurich.

For his first exhibition in Serbia, at the O3ONE Gallery on Dorćol Platz, he invites you to a retrospective of his work and presents three projects.

“Irony” is a combination of photographs taken between 2010 and 2019 from around the world. Traveling through Serbia, England, Japan, and China, he humorously, ironically, and critically reflects on our society.

“Symbiosis” is a series of photographs made in 2019, spanning from Vladivostok to France, which highlights trees in urban spaces and the respect that should be shown towards them.

“Be my Quarantine” is a series made in 2020 during the pandemic. During the lockdown, he photographed residents posing on their balconies and windows from the street. In this series, the human figure is the central subject, framed by the lines and architecture of the buildings. Colorful and joyful, the collection is highly positive despite the situation it reflects. Made in Lausanne, these images became universal as the whole world experienced a similar reality.
