#martajovanovic & #o3onegallery a #lovestory
#Quarantine is a time for dreams and plans, but also for #memories. #O3onegallery gave me my first opportunity to exhibit in Serbia back in 2006. The #exhibition 1059 was inspired by the dark and powerful poems of Emily Dickinson, and while she wrote about death, I, as an artist, was born in Belgrade, at O3one on Andrićev Venac.

Through the installation #nowonderland in 2007, we played with Alice in Wonderland in a space then called Hotel O3one, filling its three floors with various magics, tunnels, and live rabbits. The installation was dominated by the portrait of the most important person in my world – my grandmother Divna, masterfully photographed by @nebojsa_babic_photography. From this collaboration was born the project #fuckartletsdance, which lasted for years and traveled to various cities: Rome, Washington, New York, and Naples in the form of performances, installations, and exhibitions.
O3one was a #homerun during the Shoot Me! project in 2010, where together with @dmataruga and @mademoisellerouge, we transformed the audience into ballerinas and ballet dancers, whom I immortalized in photographs.
@o3one_gallery is the place where my perhaps most ambitious project to date was born: #motherhood. A #performance for a small audience in the gallery, which at the time was on Uzun Mirkova Street, and it appeared in the documentary film #bornjustnow by American director @robert.adanto, with the fantastic camera work of @lazar_bogdanovic_dp. I did not become a mother in the biological sense, but my children are all my works, and O3one is definitely the second parent of some of the most significant ones. This year, we are celebrating 14 years together! #happyanniversaryweloveyou
