What drives you?
New knowledge, traveling, or simply something I’ve done in the studio that ends up surprising me.
But I’ve always had this “drive,” as an inner necessity to create.
What else do you do?
Singing, composing, playing guitar, and writing lyrics. Creator of the band Organized Chaos. I try to act mostly in the service of singing.
What should an artist possess, traits and skills?
Curiosity, persistence, a bit of stubbornness, and always a healthy dose of doubt.
Criticism? Who or what can influence your work… its presentation?
Every critique should be heard, and I like to hear it. It doesn’t really change my work much, if at all. But an artist should be aware of the reactions their work produces in society.
Who is your superhero? Who are today’s superheroes?
I don’t believe in superheroes, nor do I like that term, and I’m not a fan of comics or movies about them. But the heroes of our time are people of their word, people with a clear stance, and those who bravely stand up for something they truly believe in. Mothers are perhaps the closest to superheroes.
What does isolation mean to you?
Peace, gathering past experiences and information. Not necessarily a bad thing—actually very useful if a blank page lies ahead of you.
What good can come out of this situation?
To reconnect with the people we love and to reconnect with our work. To get to know ourselves and start appreciating the things we are now deprived of.
Do you have a TV at home?
No, and I don’t plan on getting one. I don’t even have a TV card.
Do you listen to the radio?
Yes, in the car, but not otherwise.
Bicycle or walking?
Mostly walking—4 floors without an elevator makes cycling an even harder sport.
Are you vegan or vegetarian?
No, I’m quite the meat-eater.
Beer or wine?
Beer, although I also like white wine, but wheat beer is my favorite.
Do you recycle?
Unfortunately, in my area there are no containers for sorting waste. But I try to collect as many bottle caps as possible.
Book / Movie?
Currently? At this moment, Time of Miracles by Pekić, and the movie Parasite.
Otherwise, i.e., of all time? The first that comes to mind is Orwell’s 1984, and the movie Salt of the Earth.
