Predrag Koraksić Corax is considered one of the most renowned Serbian cartoonists, with a career spanning over seven decades. The exhibition Paralelna stvarnost, opening on Monday, 24 May 2021 at Dorćol Platz, primarily presents a selection of works Corax created for Medija Centar Beograd.
The exhibition features 20 works by the celebrated cartoonist, illustrating texts by columnists from Serbia, the region, and Europe. Corax’s masterful cartoons vividly depict both domestic and international realities. In addition to the artist, the opening will include talks by Milena Dragićević Šešić, Peca Popović, and Žarko Trebješanin.
Paralelna stvarnost is organized by Medija Centar Beograd, with support from Ozon Art Space and Marsh Creative Production. The exhibition will be open until 14 June 2021.
Biography of Predrag Koraksić Corax
Predrag Koraksić Corax is one of Serbia’s most famous cartoonists, with a career spanning over 70 years.
Born in Čačak in 1933 into a family of teachers.
Studied architecture at the University of Belgrade.
Began publishing cartoons in 1950, from seventh grade, first in the magazine Jež, and later in Rad, where he eventually became a full-time employee.
In 1958, he joined Večernje novosti, working there for more than 30 years.
In 1993, he moved to the weekly magazine Vreme, contributing from its first issue and continuing until the end of 2005.
From 1988, he worked for several independent papers: Demokratija danas, Ekonomska politika, Borba, and Naša borba.
Since 1998, he has been contributing to Danas, publishing daily cartoons, and is a regular contributor to Slobodna Evropa and Peščanik portals.
Since 2020, he has been a permanent contributor to Medija Centar Beograd.
Between 2002–2004, he created a series of animated cartoons for TV B92. He has also published in several international outlets, most recently in Courrier International.

Awarded the Order of the Knight of Arts and Letters by the French Government in 2004.
