The experiences we gain, the memories we keep, and our daily thoughts are like clippings from newspapers, pictures intertwined on a board – all seemingly interconnected. Whole sections made of piles of images, words, and feelings, clusters. Dumps of heavy thoughts or albums of the best memories, a diary of recipes for success; we all have them and build them in our subconscious, maps that only make sense to us.
Through collages, I have tried to explore my current surroundings, experiences, and some everyday thoughts of a visual being. Sometimes they are built as a collection of memories of events, sometimes as a critique of society and the cultural crisis we are going through.
They are made from many of my analog and digital photographs, drawings, clippings I’ve gathered over time, visiting different parts of the country, and observing the state of Belgrade whenever I’m at home.
By crossing them all into wholes, I wanted to present to the viewer my perception, feelings, concerns, and enthusiasm accumulated over the past few years up to today.
The exhibition will be open from 22nd March to 4th April 2022.
