From an early age, I have been interested in literature, especially poetry. I was a great hope for both of my grandfathers, as well as my mom and dad in water polo, but every thrown ball in my head ended up as a photograph or a frame. My grandfather Emir introduced me to the world of film and photography, and here I am, established in it.

I am a first-year student at the Faculty of Dramatic Arts in Belgrade, and I hope for a magical and colorful life through the lens of a camera.

When I start thinking about words and people, I see poetry. I exchange words and feel the movement of people around me, like in every story that smells of summer and poetry. That’s how I came across Delmor Schwartz, a sharp mind with gentle hands like an orange tree. He reminded me of myself, of the anger in longing for something better. His poetry reminds me of what I see before me, and this exhibition has reminded me of his poem “Summer Knowledge.” These are the points of my curiosity that I saw with one eye on the concrete of Belgrade and the surrounding places. Some people I may never meet, but perhaps I will feel them and share their story with you, and that feels like the beginning of a new image.
