“Blindfolded” is the title of the exhibition, born out of years of meetings and conversations via Skype, revolving around art and artistic activities. One could say that art is the foundation of the connection between Gojko Dutina and Nora Mesaroš. And it’s possible that their connection is the starting point, the initial spark for the aforementioned exhibition. All in all, the duo operates in this way, functioning between Novi Sad and Berlin.
What is characteristic of their works is the merging of fragments from different realities, which they introduce with a new, narrative dimension into their art. This narrative dimension is often not even recognized by them, nor were they conscious of it during the creation of the painting or drawing process. Even after finishing the artwork, they are aware of it as much as any observer. And that’s exactly it. Groping in the dark, Blindfolded. A constant search and attempt to see things in a constantly new way.
